SpringHill Suites Bend

The staff was exceptionally helpful, the hotel was sparking clean, and the mattress was so comfortable. We loved the location with it being so close to the river.

The room was excellent, very comfortable beds and a seating area. Very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was very good. Excellent seating area for dining and a Bar located adjacent to lobby. Other seating areas designed for comfortable seating and visiting. All staff encountered were helpful and friendly, even when I ended up in basement laundry area by mistake! Easy walking to food, beverages and a park & trail nearby. If I go to Bend again I would not even bother looking for different hotel.

The room is fine, there aren’t any glasses in bathroom, just 2 paper coffee cups with the coffeemaker and 2 mini wine glasses. As I said, the room is fine, nice size, large closet and bathroom. The breakfast is nice, lots of choices and lots of tables. The problem I had is that there’s a fan, not associated with the heater/AC that runs 24 hours and is loud.It cannot be shut off. So loud that I cannot stay here again.

I’ve stayed at SpringHill Suites in various cities and generally enjoy the consistency and professionalism. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the Bend, Oregon location was anything but. I booked a weekend stay for August through what appeared to be Marriott’s site, but it was apparently processed via Priceline—something that wasn’t made clear during the booking. When plans changed, I tried to cancel the reservation. The hotel confirmed the reservation and said it was non-refundable because it was through Priceline. They provided me confirmation numbers and told me to call Priceline. Priceline, however, had no record of those confirmation numbers and denied the charge—leaving me in a loop where neither party would take responsibility. To make matters worse, the hotel manager: Refused to give me his name, even after multiple polite requests. Hung up on me—twice—when I asked for escalation or assistance beyond him. Repeated “Talk to Priceline” over and over, without acknowledging that I had already done so and that they couldn’t help. I ultimately had to file a dispute through my credit card company to try to recover the nearly $800 charge. That’s not how I wanted this handled, and it’s certainly not what I expect from a Marriott-branded property. I’m sharing this to alert future guests to: The opaque nature of the booking process if done through third-party channels. The lack of support from hotel management when issues arise. Hopefully Marriott will look into this situation and ensure better training and guest support moving forward.
